1.29.9 Safe to install
This application is a valuable scientific tool that provides users with an accurate simulation of the dynamics of the solar system. Drawing on data from the esteemed NASA NEO Program, it keeps users informed about Near Earth objects and objects in close proximity to other planets in real time. The application's advanced graphical interface allows for seamless monitoring of celestial body orbits over time.
Additionally, users will receive notifications about X-rays and protons emitted by the Sun, providing a comprehensive overview of space hazards.
Key Features:
- User-friendly graphical interface
- Sky view mode
- Sensor targeting
- Spherical coordinates of selected objects
- Two notification levels based on severity or proximity to Earth
- Notification of objects in close proximity to other planets
- Notification of solar wind events (X-rays and protons)
- News updates regarding asteroids and scientific projects
- Detailed information on NEOs, including size, velocity, distance, and orbital period
- Target links to space missions
- NEOs database updated daily
Practical Information:
- The highest resolution is achieved for asteroids within 0.1 AU from the planets. The application captures both current and simulated future or past events related to these asteroids.
- Please note that the number of asteroids plotted in the asteroid belt is only a fraction of the actual count.
- Asteroids not yet included in the NASA NEO database may not trigger notifications.
- The application continuously processes and stores levels of X-rays and protons. Solar activity, denoted as a notable event, has been determined through statistical analysis of approximately six months of data. The accuracy of predictions will improve with the accumulation of more data.
Notification Criteria:
- Except for the initial notification, subsequent notifications will only be generated if NEOs are approaching. The NEO's distance to the planet must be at least 10% lower than the distance reported in the previous notification.
- NEO notifications take precedence over solar notifications unless the solar event is particularly significant.
Space exploration is humanity's next frontier, and this application equips users with vital information to better understand and navigate it.
